On June 9, 2023, Public Act 103-0047 was passed, adding new requirements to schools’ bullying prevention and response obligations. Pursuant to the new requirements, schools must adopt a policy based on the Illinois State Board of Education’s template for a model bullying prevention policy.  ISBE’s model template and associated guidance document was recently released and is now available on ISBE’s website.
