2025 Consolidated Primary and Consolidated Elections Dates

On July 12, 2024, the Illinois State Board of Elections (ISBE) released an Abbreviated Calendar of Dates for the 2025 Consolidated Primary Election and the 2025 Consolidated Election. The calendar includes recent changes that became law earlier this month by Public Act 103-0600, and changes from Public Act 103-0586. 

Among other changes, the first date for candidates to circulate nomination petitions for signature is now July 30, 2024, for candidates in the Consolidated Primary Election (February 25, 2025), and the first date for candidates to circulate nomination petitions is now August 20, 2024, for candidates in the Consolidated Election (April 1, 2025). For candidates running in the Consolidated Primary Election, the first day for filing nomination papers is now October 21, 2024. For candidates in the Consolidated Election, the first date to file is November 12, 2024.
