Clarity in Crisis: Understanding ISBE’s Updated RTO Guidance

This session will guide participants through the Illinois State Board of Education’s updated guidance on physical restraint, isolated time out, and time out (RTO), including key definitions, permissible use, and documentation and reporting requirements. Participants will learn when RTO may be necessary to ensure student safety and gain practical tips for procedural compliance.
